I am a multidisciplinary artist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York State. In my movement practice, I use improvisation to explore environment and how it interacts with personal rhythm, felt time, and movement qualities. I am interested in the body and “bodyfulness,” and in the relationship between visible external identity and invisible embodied sense-of-self. I’m curious about the edge between one thing and another, both in experiences and locations: inner/outer, imagination/reality, self/other, psychosis/sanity. My work often features the agricultural land of my hometown, Walla Walla, Washington.

“Daisy Buckwheat” is my Walla Walla hillbilly alter-ego. The persona began as a tongue-in-cheek caricature of the unworldly bumpkin I believed myself to be. It has turned into a way for me to embrace and empower a part of myself I once rejected.
